Plans Submitted for Fast Food Restaurant Freddy’s In Oconee County’s Epps Bridge Centre

Next To Cheddar’s

Epps Bridge Centre will get its first fast food restaurant if preliminary site plans filed with the Oconee County Planning Department on April 25 are realized.

TGC Development Group of Wichita, Kan., submitted plans for a Freddy’s Frozen Custard And Steakburgers to be located just west of the sign and entranceway to the shopping center off Epps Bridge Parkway.

The store, with a drive-through operation, will be just east of the planned Cheddar’s Restaurant.

The two restaurants will share parts of what were to have been outparcels 2 and 4 on the far south of the strip mall complex.

An additional outparcel with frontage on Epps Bridge Parkway will separate Freddy’s from an existing McDonalds

Permits Not Yet Issued

C&P Company of Macon submitted preliminary site plans to the Oconee County Planning Department for the Cheddar’s Restaurant on March 31.

Preliminary site plans are just that, and no building permits for either Cheddar’s or Freddy’s have been issued.

Both the Cheddar’s and Freddy’s are to front on Epps Bridge Parkway, though neither will have direct access from the highway.

Access to both will be off driveways connecting to the main internal roadway linking the shopping complex at Epps Bridge Centre with Epps Bridge Parkway.

Share Lot

The Cheddar’s, with 8,465 square feet in the restaurant building and 206 parking spaces, is on 3.2 acres stretching across two of the shopping mall’s 12 outparcels.

The Freddy’s, with 3,344 square feet in the restaurant building, will have 50 parking spaces and be located on a 1-acre-tract carved mostly from what was originally designated as outparcel 2.

The preliminary site plans show the drive-through operation on the western side of the building.

Freddy’s menu items include steakburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, frozen custards and sundaes.

Freddy’s is headquartered in Wichita.
